Birthday Box







Box recipe:
300gsm white pearl card for box,
White linen card (both local craft shop), textured Green & Aubergine card (papermania textured assorted pack).
Marianne Design Craftable square die,
Spellbinders plain large squares,
Spellbinders Lacey Squares,
Nitwit Collections Time for Tea paper,
Marianne Design Flowers die set,
Memory Box Floral Vine die,
Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Milled Lavender, Spring Seasonal Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord distress inks,

    1. Hi Sarah, I cant find an email for you, so I will reply here, hope you see it. I used 300gsm card, decided on the depth of box I wanted (although to some extent it will depend on the size of the piece of card you have to work with too). I measured the embossed centre of the diecut & added on twice the depth i wanted and cut a piece of card that size. The lid I made slightly bigger. I then scored all round at the required depth measurement & folded & creased one at a time. The score lines intersect at each corner; I cut up two of the score lines on one side to this intersection, and again on opposite side. This creates tabs which, when all the sides are folded up, are glued to the side adjacent. The lid is made in the same way. The diecut is added to the base of the bottom and the top of the lid, then decorated accordingly. Hope that lot makes sense!
